EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The City of Fairfax, Iowa, is accepting applications for a Public Works I Maintenance Department position. Duties include, but are not limited to: grounds maintenance, snow removal, property maintenance, and other municipal systems operations.
The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; have a valid Iowa Driver’s License, it is preferred to have a Commercial (CDL) Class B with Air Brakes Endorsement or be able to obtain; and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as participate in an on-going IDOT approved drug testing program. Previous municipal maintenance experience is preferred.
This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with rotating weekend duty and mandatory emergency response duty. Compensation will be based on experience.
