Fairfax T-Ball (coed) & Coach PitchFairfax T-Ball Fairfax Youth Sports provides a T-ball league for boys and girls who are pre-K through kindergarten the beginning of the '26-'27 school year. The grade is determined by the grade of the player at signup. (I.E: a player that will be in kindergarten in the fall of 2026 is considered a kindergartener.) Players must be 4 years old before November 1st of the year signing up. Signups will begin in mid June. Practices will start around August 1, and games will begin on Tuesday, August 18th, and go through Tuesday, September 15th. All teams play their games at the Fairfax Regional Sports and Park Complex (the Complex) at 625 Linn St, City Park Field at 700 Linn St, or Fetter Field at 601 Church St. The purpose of this league is to introduce players to throwing, catching and hitting. Teams consist of 7-9 players. Games will be held on Tuesday and times will be determined by amount of teams/registrants. Team assignments are coed based only on age and/or grade. Each team is assigned a practice date and time. Practices are on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 5:30 or 6:00 beginning the last week of July. Coaches may practice outside of these days or times depending on their schedule. If you have a special request, please include it in the comment section of the registration form (not all requests may be honored but I will do my best). There is a $40.00 registration fee for all participants (includes a team shirt, hat and an after-game snack) FYS believes every child should have an opportunity to play youth sports and offers a scholarship program for families if the registration fee poses a hardship. (I.E: a player that will be in 1st grade in the fall of 2026 is considered a 1st grader.) Signups will begin in mid June. Practices will start around mid-June, and games will begin on Wednesday, June 8th, and will go through Wednesday, August 12th. All teams play their games at the Fairfax Regional Sports and Park Complex (the Complex) at 625 Linn St, City Park Field at 700 Linn St, or Fetter Field at 601 Church St. This league focuses on the fundamentals of fielding, throwing, and catching. Teams are made up of 7 - 9 players and boys and girls play on separate teams. Games will be held on Wednesday and times will be determined by amount of teams/registrants. Rules for this league can be found below. This unique program offers participants more of a challenge than T-ball and allows them to work on their hitting, throwing, and catching skills before moving to Little League baseball or softball when they are in 3rd grade. Practices are scheduled by the coaches and are usually during the weekday evenings. Practices will start in June and are scheduled by the coaches. 3rd graders may also sign up for this league.
