Fairfax Splash Pad opens September 2020

The much anticipated opening of the new Fairfax splash pad happened on September 4, 2020 for a test run. The weather was unseasonably warm for a few weeks after Labor Day and it provided just the test everyone needed after a long summer.

But in the Spring of 2021 the Pad opened for it's first year and oh what a year!

Everyone loves the football

Touted as one of the top 5 biggest splash pads in Iowa, there is always activity at the Pad. Set in the middle of the Fairfax Sports and Park Complex at 625 Linn St, Fairfax, it has a sports theme and is the perfect location with plenty of parking (an additional 100+ space parking lot was added in the summer of 2021). The Pad is surrounded by plenty of open space for family picnics and other outdoor fun.

The Pad is open 9:00am – 9:00pm seven days a week from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day, depending on the weather.
