The Complex

The Fairfax Regional Sports and Park Complex, at 625 Linn Street, is the crown jewel of our park system. Work on the project completed in late 2012 and The Complex officially opened in 2013.  Click here to view pictures showing the project. During 2023, we have added the following updates to the park: Lighting at the new Veterans Memorial, light poles in the new parking lot on the west side of the Complex, additional light poles around the walking trail and a security light at the Off-Leash Dog Park.

The Complex has the following amenities:

  • Playgrounds
  • Splash Pad
  • Softball/Baseball Diamonds (with lights)
  • Soccer Fields
  • Grills
  • Lighted Concrete Walking/ Running Trail
  • Three Large Parking Lots (along Linn Street and Fairfax Road)
  • The Fairfax Off Leash Dog Park 
  • Fairfax Little Free Library
  • Veterans Memorial

 

The Fairfax Parks and Beautification Committee holds their June "Movie in the Park" and "Music in the Park" events at various times during the summer at this location. The Fairfax USA Committee also holds many of their celebration activities here each June. The Fairfax Fire Department shoots off their annual fantastic fireworks display at this location.

 

Fairfax Parks & Rec department uses The Complex for youth and adult sporting events including T-ball, baseball, softball, soccer and adult coed softball. 

 

The Fairfax Civic Coalition holds their fall Haunted Trail and spring Easter Egg Dash at The Complex as well as other community events. The Leon Evans Car Cruise In is an annual event that draws nearly 400 cars to the site every year.
